Received these colors the other day in the mail from REDWOODWILLOW! I felt like a child opening the box under the Christmas tree. All these delicious colors just waiting to be opened and used. Just can’t wait to get started in trying them out. Working on a small project where I can let them show off their delectable colors! The colors are; Indigo Genuine, Green Earth Light, Fawn Ochre, Burnt Umber Dark Brown, Burnt Umber Cyprus, Buff Titanium, New! Spinal Grey, New! Mayan Indigo and New! Sea Depth Green!!! So to all the artist out there, do you feel the same way when you get to try new colors out?

Winterfest has come to Kettle Cove, reminding me of my own snow-driven memories. One of my favorites was attending a winter night candle walk through Allaire State Park in NJ with my 24 year old daughter, Kelly. It was freezing and we only had one hand warmer between the two of us and neither of us was in a sharing mood. While arguing who should get to hold it longer, it dropped from our greedy hands and into the high snow, sinking deeper and deeper into the white abyss. Now we were both cold lol We laughed at our ourselves and made our way indoors to warm up by the fire. What’s your favorite perfect or (in my case) imperfect memory of the snow?

Merlot Monday! This photo was taken two months ago when I traveled by train, bus and automobile to Virginia to adopt this adorable little dog! She's an older girl and she came with a name (originally Precious...sigh), but I just couldn't do that so I gave her a new name: Merlot! This was the exact moment that the representative from the adoption center placed into my arms at the hotel. I bought these pretty, pink glass lights at @Target 🎯That little red bullseye draws me in like a moth to a flame, hypnotizing me into financial abandon until I proclaim, "I must have those twinkle lights!" Almost finished! The book will be sent off in May for printing (fingers crossed). Getting very excited! I have a list of things I want to do now that the end is in sight. My list is short and simple: 1. I want to master making pasta and cinnamon rolls. 2. Sewing. I have been saving some material for a rainy day and would love to make a frock or two. 3. Strip! Just kidding. I have an antique shelf that needs to be stripped and redone, but won't bore you with the rest. Let me know what's on your project bucket list 💗
